BOMBSHELL TONIGHT!!!

Does anyone else watch Nancy Grace? It seems like every night she has a "bombshell tonight"!
It's so annoying. But I still love to watch her! Unless it's about Casey Anthony. I'm so tired of hearing about her.
Move on, people. Quit giving her attention!!

Anyways....my bombshell is this!!
We have had triple digit weather with NO rain for about a couple months now.
It's been miserable!!!!
But Friday....it happened!!!
It RAINED!
Yes, little ole Wichita Falls finally got some rain!
Like, three different days since Friday!!!
And it was a beautiful thing!!
Pray for more rain to come our way, because we could still use a little more.
I know I haven't been blogging like I used to.
I've just been so busy!! Especially with school starting up next week!!
I'm TRYING to get my boys back in school mode...it's so not working.

Sooo, wanna know all about the drama that's going on this week?
We are currently trying to find Gage's dad. I thought he has been locked up in jail, safe and sound for the past few months. But come to find out, he was released at the beginning of July. I know this because I called to see if I could go see him. And he's not there. Then I looked online for the jail he was in around Fort Worth. Nope, released and on probation.
No one can seem to find him. I'm worried about him.
His dad passed away Monday and no one can find him to let him know.

Will he care? He didn't seem to when his mom passed away not too long ago. But, he and his dad were close. He sometimes stayed with him.
I pray for that man. I really do. I wish he would get his life back on track.

On a lighter (and somewhat happier) note:
I started a new job! Well, a second job. A part time job. :)
One of the doctors I work for gave me a job at his office.
It's perfect for me!
My normal job is 5:45 to 2:15, so I can go when I get off my full time job and stay as long as I want. I can also work weekends, if I have things to do when I get off my regular job!
Which the flexibility is so perfect with me. Ya know, being a single mom and all. haha.

Thursday is "Meet the Teacher" night!! The boys start school on August 22nd!
Can you believe I am going to have a sophmore in high school AND a 3rd grader!!
OMG!

Just six months from now, my son will be driving!!

So, the air in my car keeps going out. Gage said my filter needed to be cleaned. So when James was in town a couple weeks ago, they took the filter out and cleaned it for me. It was like 8:30 pm, so I was already laying down, reading. They came in and asked if they could drive down the road to see if the air was working better.
I said they could. I mean, we live out on a country dirt road, and he's a good driver.
But one minute after they walked out the door, I was like...what if, what it, what if!!!!!

I started freaking out. I got out of bed and went to sit on the front porch. They were gone all of 5-10 minutes and by the time they got back, I had to take a Xanax!! I was so freaked out!!

THEN!!! That night I had a nightmare that he and James went driving and had a horrible wreck!!

Ugh, I'm going to be a complete MESS when he starts driving!
Such a scary thing!!
Yep, that's what has been going on over here!

Currently, he's not so confident or cocky or uncaring...because he has amnesia. The witches put a spell on him and he can't remember how cool and uncaring he is.

But I still love him!

Yes, I know how stupid it sounds.....but REALLY...it's wonderful!!

All in a day's work.

It's amazing how wonderful ADHD medication works.
I believe the only way you can truly appreciate and see the miraculousness of this medication is to:
have your son stay one month each summer with his dad (it is after all, court ordered).
Give your ex husband the ADHD medication for your son to take while there.
(Knowing that the medication is NOT going to be taken everyday as prescribed)
Have your son come back....after NOT taking the medication like he's supposed to....

and see....
Oh yes....you will see how well that medication works.
How could I have forgotten how out of control my child was before this wonder drug??
How did I survive??
Last night with my beautiful eight year old son was pure chaos.

These are the things my lovely child did....
yes...all in a day's work!

• made a bubble bath with over half a bottle of my shampoo. the bubbles were overflowing when I walked in the bathroom and he was covered. I couldn't even see him.
  


• started swinging my only phone charger around and now it doesn't work.
  


• colored the cat with a red marker
  


• then I woke up at 3 a.m. freezing.....went to check to see what it the thermostat was set on...yes, it was set on 62.

That was my day yesterday.
Pray I can get him back on track with his medication.
haha.

But, I still love him. :)

Trubie!!!

I'm really sad that I haven't had time to blog about my non-sense on a daily basis.
I've been busy at work.
But I HAVE to write about True Blood!!!
OMG!!!!
Sunday night's episode was only THE episode I've been waiting for!!!!

I just want the bed to myself!

Meet Stripes, she is Zac's kitten.



Meet Rebel, she is Gage's kitten.



Can anyone tell me why I agree to let my children have pets? Knowing that I will have to take care of them. Knowing that it's summertime and my boys are NEVER home...which leaves just me.
I don't even like animals!
Seriously. I don't.

But they now know me as their caretaker. They won't leave me alone!! They're attached.

This is the ghetto door to my bedroom, see the huge gap between the door and the floor?



Yeah, they sneak through this gap when I go to bed, they climb up in my bed and work their way under the covers, to the bend of my knees or the bend of my arms, or on my head, kneading my hair.
ugh!!!! I can't stand it!!
So, I decided to barricade the door.
I pushed shoes up under the door, towels, blankets, NOTHING worked!
They were determined to get in bed with me. No matter what I put against the door, they worked their way in. No matter how long it took.

So, last week I found the solution. Tape. Cats hate tape, right?
My ghetto invention to keep the kittens out.



And it worked!
Then they realized they couldn't get in, so it's a race every night to get to my room.

They wait for the signs.
I turn off the tv, they get up.
I turn off the light, they run to my feet.
I start walking to my room, they take off running.
By the time I get there, they're hidden very well.

UGH!!

So, I have to hunt them down. In the closet? Under the bed? Behind the dresser? In the bathroom?
I never know. Then when I finally catch them to toss them out...the minute I pick them up, they start purring. Awww, I feel so bad!!
But I canNOT stand animals in bed with me.
Zac is gone with his dad this month. I thought I'd be free from things sneaking in bed with me....guess that's what I get for thinking.
