My vacation

My week vacation officially started today. I suppose.
I've been off work since Thursday, when I my clumsy ass broke my ankle.
Today, 4 days later, is the first time I have ventured out of my house.
Do you know how boring it is to be stuck in your house, for four straight days, with no kids (Gage is with his sister and Zac with his dad, since I couldn't get around to do anything for him), no car, no phone service??
It sucks.
I managed to watched all THREE seasons of True Blood before last night's very first episode of Season 4.
May I say how wonderful last nights episode was???

Ok, so Saturday I did finally get my car back. Today I decided to take a drive to my sister's house. I couldn't stand being alone any longer. My sisters and I went to eat at Casa Manana. I'm still not great at handling the crutches, but I suppose I'm a little better than I was when I first got them.
This is my ankle......or should I say cankle.
Fat ass ankle with bruises. Nice, huh?

The pain meds make it a little easier to bare. :)

It just sucks that this had to happen right before my vacation!!!

But it was nice to get out of the house today and socialize a little bit.

Friday my mom and step dad brought me out a 12 pack of Dr Pepper, because I was out...and that sucked. Saturday, Leah brought me some Taco Bueno.

Other than that....just me. All by my lonesome.

I'm still chillin at my sisters right now. I had to take some pain medication and take a nap :)

Soooo, that's what's been up with me. A whole lotta nothing!!

I'm ready for my ankle to heal, so I can go back to doing the little things that I apparently take for granted being able to do!

seriously???

This morning, at 5 a.m., on my way out, I stepped off my porch wrong, twisted my ankle, fell to my other knee and screamed "SHIT!" in front of Zac. I ripped a hole in my scrub pants. I sat on my porch, sweating, feeling like I was going to throw up because of the pain. Zac was patting me, half asleep, "are you ok mom? are you ok?" Finally I got up, got in my car to drive to work. I soon realized I was going to have to go to the ER, when my leg shook and hurt like hell just pushing the breaks.
So, I went. I have a hair line fracture. Right ankle. I have to make an appointment tomorrow to see an orthopedic and see if I have to get a cast.
Luckily my sister works at the ER and was just getting off work. She had to take me home, they wouldn't let me drive. Oh my gosh this sucks....and I so can't work the crutches. My boys are taking care of me though. I have some good drugs, so I'm not in too much pain right now.

did I mention I had already taken all next week off for vacation time from work?
What a fun vacation this will be....
not.

1. The last movie I saw was:

Mask. I used to watch this movie with my mom and sister all the time. It's a wonderful movie. So, when I saw that it was coming on tv, I had to dvr it. I wanted my boys to watch it. I love showing my boys good, old movies that I watched when I was young. :) They also loved it, so it our new fave movie we watch all the time now. :)

Eric Stoltz plays the 16 year old Rocky Dennis. This movie is based on a true story. If you haven't seen it, you really should!! He does such an awesome job!!

He may look different, but he was an awesome kid. And not just because he always played Bob Seger when he was in his room!! I LOVE that he loved Bob Seger! :)

Cher plays his mom, Rusty. She's a biker mom who takes no crap from anyone. She loves her son so much, but also likes to party, and maybe cover up her pain with drugs.

And the sexy Sam Elliott plays Rusty's love interest.

Uhhh.....I'm not much on accessories, :) I'm kinda plain jane. :)

a skinny Vanilla Latte from Starbucks! I had one this morning.

the fact that True Blood Season 4 starts in like....a little over one week!! Woo Hoo!! :)

A friend of my sister's had to go to Austin last week for some kind of training for her job.

She didn't have anyone to keep her kids during the day while she was training, so Leah and her kiddos went with her. Leah would keep the kids during the day, then they'd go "sight seeing" and what not when her friend got off.

So, one night last week, I received this text message and picture from my sister.

"My son...I'm so proud. Dropped is shorts in the front lawn of the State Capitol in Austin, TX.....and peed."




Yep....that's my little Jack-man, peeing.
Man, I love that kid. haha.

Is that illegal, peeing on the front lawn of the State Capitol?

At least when it comes to the Twilight Saga!

So, last night I FINALLY finished watching the MTV Movie Awards. It took me a few days because I could only watch when Zac wasn't around. It was a little too much for my 8 year old to watch...in my opinion.

Ok, for a while now, I have been completely over the Twilight stuff, Robert Pattinson....done, I've always been over Kristen Stewart.
So, I was getting so mad that they kept winning ALL of the awards!
There were so many other good movies that could have won.
Actors and actresses who could've easily beat out Rob and Kristen.
Ugh, I was so disappointed!

And it just made it worse that they had to keep coming up on stage to accept.
It's so annoying that neither one of them could get through even a 30 second speech without getting tripped up on their words and stumbling around like a bunch of morons.
I mean, Taylor Lautner is the youngest of all and he is the most professional and well spoken of the three.
How does he stand working with them??
Robert Pattinson....you give Edward Cullen a bad name!!
You need to get some tips from your character on how to be in real life.
The Kristen Stewart way is NOT working for you....at all.



BUT! To be fair, last night...after nights of being disgusted with them I finally saw the previews to Breaking Dawn.
I had forgotten how wonderful it is.
And I almost cried.
NOT KIDDING!
The scene where Jacob gets the wedding invitation, the proud look on Bella's mom face when she got the invitation, the bedroom scene (OMG), and the baby bump...the look of happiness on Bella's face, the look of horror on Edward's face.
So, I'm excited now. I'm ready for Breaking Dawn to come out!
But I'm still disgusted by the way they act in real life.
Just sayin'.




But what I'm really, really, really super excited about is:
TRUE BLOOD SEASON 4, baby!!!!
Ahhhh yeah!!

Ok, so the storm has been here for a while...I'm just wondering when it will clear out.
I swear it's like, one thing after another.
But it's nothing I can't handle :)

So, I seem to be covered in some sort of rash/hives. I'm taking Benadryl (snore) and Predisone (a steroid, yay). UGH!
I'm so itchy. It sucks.

I'm bah-roke from all the doctor visits (for me & the boys) and medication! It's ridiculous.
Zac is having oral surgery this Friday. My poor baby.

Gage had a friend (Travis) stay the night earlier this week. They were outside playing baseball and Gage found a horny toad!





I can't remember the last time I saw a horny toad!!
Aren't they like...almost extinct?
Hmmmm...
Gage came home from drivers ed the other day with a new pick-up line.
Yes, apparently they don't just teach driving in drivers ed.
Once you have a license, and a vehicle (his has a truck already!), you have to know how to pick up the chicks.
So, Gage's new pick up line:
"Hey, don't we go to separate high schools together?"
Yeah....doesn't make any sense, but it's funny! :)
Oh, I'm so proud.

On to my Zackary.
Poor baby has to have oral surgery this Friday :/
I'm telling you....we are doctor/hospital bound lately!!

Sneaky Zackary has also somehow convinced the teachers at the youth center that he's going into the 4th grade next year (he'll be in 3rd). That way he can hang out with the 4th grade and up, instead of the 3rd grade and under group.
Uhhh, sneaky little shit!!
He wasn't very happy with me yesterday when I called him out on it!! haha.
Sometimes he just cracks me up.

I am so super excited about this! I now have Seasons 1-3 and Season 4 starts on the 26th of this month!!
I am so going to watch ALL THREE seasons before the 4th starts, so I can be all up to date. haha.
laaaame, I know. but I'm super excited!

I <3 you, sista! Then we ordered some El Nortenos today for lunch!! YUM! As you can see I ordered a grease burrito with a side of chorizo, potato, and cheese. haha. It is super greasy, but oh so good!

Wow. Looking at it now, I'm wondering if my stomach is going to be able to handle it in there much longer!

I haven't been much of the blogger lately.

It's weird how sometimes I feel the need to share just about everything that's going on in my life...
then out of no where, I'm just like, ok....maybe I don't feel like sharing so much.

I think maybe that happens when I have so much going on, that the thought of having to think about it, to put into words, just wears me out.
That's how it's been lately.
There has been so much going on that I just don't want to think.
I don't want to talk about anything of any importance.

I want to talk about my crush on Stephen Dorff. I want to tell you about movies I've been watching.
I want to fill in the blanks. Ask me a question or start the sentence for me....and I'll answer it.
It's so much easier that way sometimes. :)

But I will tell you this:

!!!
And while the thought of NOT having to drive him from here to there all the times is quite nice, I'm still.....scared, nervous, worried, sad, stressed.
I mean, I trust him. I've been taking him out driving since he was 13. He's a pretty good driver.
But at the same time....I know how it is when you get your license. And you're free. And you're driving your car...without an adult.
I still have 8 months until he turns 16. I need to calm down.
