Car trouble, car trouble, and more car trouble.

When it rains, it pours. And man, is it pouring!!
I have like a car curse or something. Cars just hate me.
First I've had all this trouble with my car. So, my sister gave me her car to drive, since she got a new one. So, I got it last night. She said she got her oil changed last month and they said something about the something or others around the batteries being corroded. She didn't want the battery to die on me, so we took it today to get new....whatever it was that it needed. So, she paid about $40 for that. I got in the car immediately after and it wouldn't start. The guy tells me that I must need a new battery. So he checks it. "Yep it's at a hundred something and it's supposed to be seven hundred something." I was like...well, that's funny because the car was running fine until you messed with it!! They refused to admit it was their fault, so I just had them jump me off and I left. So, I'm back to driving my shitty car, at least just for tomorrow. Then Leah's going to go buy a new battery. Ridiculous.
What evil forces are at work in my life right now? Why? Why does this keep happening to me?
I've had the worst luck lately.
But it's not getting me down. I'll just laugh about it. Because in the end, I know that it will all work out. It always does. :)

What a weekend...

We had a pretty good 4th of July weekend. We went to my mom's. My step dad cooked out hamburgers and hot dogs. Good stuff. Then we went to Janet's (a lady from church) to watch fireworks. A lot of people were there from church. They had a TON of fireworks.

Of course all Zac and Lucia would do were sparklers.


When it got dark and all the good fireworks started, Zac and Jack got scared, so I had to sit inside with them. Sucks for me. :( I LIKE fireworks. OH well. Right before it got dark, it started thundering, there was lightening in the distance. Zac got scared of that, too. He's such a baby about the weather. haha. Right when we were about to leave it started pouring down rain!!

When we left my mom's to go out to Janet's, I guess I had left my headlights on because my battery was dead!! So, my step dad had to jump me off. I have been having the worst luck with my car lately. Then on the way to Janet's my power steering light kept coming on. My power steering went out. :(

I went up to Danny Foix today, they said I'll have to take it to the dealership to have them check it out, they can't do anything about it. I think they're sick of seeing me. haha. As many times as I've been up there lately!!

I have no idea what I'm going to do. I hate to call my dad again, but he is the one I bought the car from. UGH! Dustin (Leah's husband) said I could have Leah's car, and pay something on it every month. But then I'll also have to get full coverage insurance on it. Plus the gas will be more. I don't know if I can afford that. But it may be cheaper than fixing everything that is going wrong with my POS car.

So, this is the last day of my 3 day weekend. I've spent the last 3 hours doing defensive driving online. OMG. It is soooo boring!!! I had to take a break!! I still have 3 more hours to go! BLAH!!! All because I was going 45 in a 35, on the way to the gym a couple months ago. :(

Am I having the worst luck ever, or what? Oh well, there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. At least, that's what I keep telling myself!!

I need a part time job.....

Back to work tomorrow. It's gonna be a busy day and we'll be two people short in the office. But it'll be aight. I.Will.Survive.

Crappy start, but ended up a-ok.

So, had some car trouble again today. If it had waited one more day, it would've been a month exactly from the last time I had car trouble. haha. So, last month I was getting in my car to go to work and my ignition was stuck, it would't turn on. I got a new ignition put in for about...ohhhh $320.00. Today, I got to work and my car wouldn't turn off!! The ignition was stuck again, but this time, it was stuck on. haha. I left my house at 5:30 a.m. My car ran while I was in work, until 8:00, when the shop opened. 2 1/2 hours, 1/4 tank of gas, and an almost overheated car. Excellent. haha. But it's fixed now. For how long, I have no idea. Hopefully for good!
So the day started off pretty crappy. Then I found out my supposed bff went and saw "Eclipse" without me last night!!! haha. Just kidding, Marianne. I was a little disappointed, but it was with your family, who you don't get to spend much time with, so I forgive you. :) I'm trying to convince Gage to see it with me, he refuses. :( Everyone else has already seen it, but me. I feel so alone! ;)

So, I'm just going to spend the night here at my house, all by my lonesome. I watched the cheesiest movie ever earlier. "Black Christmas" Ruh-tard-ed.
Now, I'm watching "Knowing". Everyone I talked to said it sucked, but I'm actually liking it a lot!! When it's over, I'm going to take advantage of being child-free and clean house like crazy!!
It needs it!

I'm excited for my 3 day weekend! I need it! I'm just gonna chill, do a whole lotta nothing. Except clean today. Be lazy tomorrow. Go to my mom's for the 4th on Sunday. And finally watch "Eclipse" on Monday. Woot woot. Holla. :)

Back to life. Back to re.al.it.y.

Oh, it was so nice to go to Chicago. It was a much needed vacation.
Of course, upon arriving home, Marianne finds out her poor husband is in the hospital (he's ok now). She has to go straight to the hospital to stay the night with him there.
Leah comes home to find out that the sewage was backed up in her backyard and her toilet overflowed. Jack loved it, of course. He flushes the toilet and says,"Oh look!! A waterfall!! A waterfall!" haha.
I came home to total perfectness. :) Nothing wrong here. That is, until I get in my car Thursday morning to drive to work. My key will not turn. The ignition is jacked. I try for 30 minutes straight to start my damn car and all I got out of that was a blister on my finger.
So, my dad calls around to see how much it's going to be to get fixed. He calls me back. It's going to be $170, that's for the parts and labor. I'm like....awesome! I thought it would be way worse!

My sister gives me a ride to work Thursday morning. My bff picks me up from work.
My bff gives me a ride to work Friday morning. My sister picks me up. It sucks not having a car.
Leah lets me borrow her car some during the weekend. Then gives it to me Sunday night and I've had it since. I'm thinking how much it's going to suck giving her her Durango back when my car gets fixed. It was nice driving that nice car. :)
So, today my dad calls to tell me my car is ready. Oh, and by the way.....it's going to be $330. Whaaaaat??? That's like double what they quoted!!!
Is it just me, or does anyone else think they should've called and told me it was going to be more before proceeding?? Ridiculous.
Hello, single mom here. Luckily, my dad had given me $100 to put towards the amount due. And my awesome sister was sweet enough to pay the difference until I can pay her back.
What would I do without my family? My sister is the best. Letting me borrow her car for almost a whole week, lending me the money, being there for me to comfort me when I'm crying in her car over the whole ordeal. haha.
I'm such a baby.
Thank God for sisters and bffs. :)
But my crappy car is home now. All is well.
