So, since June 23rd, I have managed to work three whole days.
OMG, my check is going to suck!!!
But I was released to go back to work, not restricted. Unfortunately I do have to wear the damn boot for another 4 weeks. Blah.

Thursday we had the day off at work, because some of the doctors are on vacation, and we just happened to have no patients that day. Usually I'd say yay to that....BUT I have already been off so much, I wasn't too happy about it.
What can you do?

Since we had Thursday off, I took Gage and Travis to see "The Hangover Part 2".
It was a lot funnier than I thought it would be! Pretty much the same as the first one, but still funny.

I don't mind watching Bradley Cooper too much either.

One of my favorite actresses is:

Kristen Wiig!!!

She is freaking hilarious on Saturday Night Live. I love every one of the characters that she plays.

So, needless to say, I was super excited when I started seeing the previews to "Bridesmaids".

I've been saying I'm going to go see it since it came out...I just never did.

BUT....I did today!!! And I LOVED it!!!!
I went with Gage and Ashley and they loved it too!!
It was so, so, so funny.
Like...really funny.
Like...laugh out loud in the theater funny...which I try not to do.
I hate when people laugh, and laugh, and keep laughing...to the point that you miss what's happening next.
But I did LOL a lot during this movie. ;)

The girl on the far left....don't know who she is, but she had me cracking up!!! I loved her!!

Two movies you should definitely see...if I do say so myself!! :)

So, this morning I woke up around 6:30 and started cleaning house about 7:00. Zac woke up about 9:00, which is about the time that I decided to take a break and prop up my foot.

He came in, sat down on the couch, and started playing with my toes.
He said,"This little piggy went to the market, this little piggy stayed home. This little piggy fell off the porch......"

Oh no, you didn't!!
hahaha. Smart ass.

Fill in last Fridays blanks on a Thursday! :)

I haven't been able to play Fill in the Blank for a couple weeks, since I was laid up with my broken ankle :(

So, I'm super behind....like almost a week behind, but I wanna play, I wanna play!

1. The best news I ever received was hearing that both my boys were healthy, when they were born! :)

2. Something I'm looking forward to is my ankle healing and being able to walk around without this dang boot!

3. Something I would never do is get married again! ugh. haha.

4. If I could choose someone to be my life coach (famous or not, living or dead), I'd choose Jesus Christ, of course.

5. If I had to put a label on my style it would be comfortable. I'm all about comfort.

6. One should always say their prayers!

7. I want to go to Hunan. I'm craving some Chinese food! :)

"The real measure of your wealth is how much you’d be worth if you lost all your money."

I don't understand the world we're living in today.
Everyone seems to be so obsessed with money.
Obsessed with material things.
Kids these days think all these expensive gadgets are what make them happy.
I guess I've never really cared about money, since I grew up poor.
I was happy when I opened a few coloring books and new slippers Christmas day.
I never questioned my mom about money, how much she made, or why she can spend her money on this, but not this......the way I hear other kids do.

I admit I've fallen into the wanting of material things from time to time.
Gage wants a Touch iPod, I did buy him one. For Christmas. Not just because.
Zac wanted a PSP, I did get him one...for Christmas.
I like that I can save my money and buy them a few things that they want.
I didn't have that growing up. But at the same time, I think maybe I shouldn't even do that.
I'm just like every other mom, I suppose...I want my kids to have more than I did.

I always heard that "money is the root of all evil" and I thought...how could that be?? It would be so nice to be able to go on vacations and buy a house and a jeep and, and, and.....oh yes....there are many things I see that I wouldn't mind having.
But I know where I am financially and I know frivolous things are not as important as having a roof over my boys' heads, food in the stomachs, and clothes on their backs.

So, while I sometimes wish I could give my boys more, I am thankful in a way that I can't.
I don't want them to think money is happiness. I don't want them to be spoiled with the newest things that eventually get old and then need the next best thing.

Keeping up with the Joneses was never something I cared to do. Which, honestly is one of the many reason I left my husband. He always felt like he had to one up the next person and that wasn't me. It wasn't how I wanted my kids raised.

Also, regardless of what people think, money does change you. You can think it doesn't all day long, but sometimes it's harder to see yourself as others do.

So, while I sometimes say "I wish I could win the lottery!" I know deep down, that's not something I want. I like living the way I live. I'm thankful to have my boys, a roof over our heads, food in our stomachs, clothes on our backs, a car to drive...to the job I have. I'm thankful for my family and friends. I'm happy.
I know it's not nice cars, vacations, clothes, jewelry that makes me happy.
Afterall, you can't take it with you when you go.

How did I not know my Eric was in this video???

Big, hairy spider

I have now been off work for 11 days. I am so ready to get back to work!!
Come Tuesday, I may have a change of heart :)

My ankle is feeling better. I'm getting around better, with my big, black boot. It's really quite sexy, I assure you.

On the bright side....in addition to the scorpions, coyotes, and other lovely creatures I have come in contact with while living out in the country this past year, I can now add tarantulas to that list.
Seriously?
Tarantulas.
I'm usually a visual person, and I like to post pictures for my readers, so they can get the full effect of what I'm writing about. But I am sooooo deathly afraid of spiders, that when I tried to google a picture of a tarantula for you, I literally felt my chest tighten at the sight...so, I'm sure you've seen a tarantula before...you know what they look like.
If not, google it yourself.
They're big, hairy, fat, scary, jumping spiders. And I'm terrified of them. They're huge.

So far, I've seen two in the backyard, but my wonderful pit Beauty, took care of those. :)
But yesterday there was a LIVE one on my storage building in the front yard!!
It was creeping up the building with it's long, hairy legs.

UGH!!!

It may be time to move again. :)
Ok, not really. But I can only handle so much!
