Oh...by the way...

More snow today. Lovely.
Although it's really not as bad as last week. At least it's just snow, not snow on top of ice.
So, remember me telling you about the man that was looking in my sister's window in broad daylight last week? Well, the night before last, her dog was barking and barking at 2:30 in the morning. She looked out the back door, didn't see anything. So, she went to look out the kitchen window...and there was a man standing beside her car. He crouched down and they had a staring contest. Finally he ducked down and took off.
Scary.
This has been happening a little too often. Last night we were watching a movie and the dog started barking. I jerked my head around and stared at Leah, wide eyed....she just laughed at me.
I was just a little bit scared. :) I guess it was nothing though, because the dog stopped barking and we didn't hear either one of our alarms on our cars go off.
Brenda at work said she should call the police department, just to tell them about the past couple weeks, so they could patrol the neighborhood.
I concur.
I'm so glad that I made it to work today. I cannot handle any more time off. Plus all my appointments and Zac's appointments are taking time out of work too!
Zac's doctor appointments alone are breaking me, money wise!!
Monday he had an eye appointment. Today he has a dentist appointment. Tomorrow we have his appointment to see about medication for his anxiety/ADHD. Therapy every 2 weeks. UGH!
But I really can't complain because the therapy really seems to be helping! Although his wrist twisting has seemed to stop, he is now blinking non-stop. Which is why he had an eye appointment on Monday, but his vision is fine. I guess it's a new thing. Weird.
His next therapy session is Tuesday, so we'll talk about his new tick.

Friday I have to go to court for the 5 hundred millionth time! UGH! What is the point?? Five years and $23,000 + of back child support....there is really no reason.

Oh well, at least I can say I'm doing my part. blah.

The the week after next, I'm FINALLY taking Beauty to get her fixed. I can't handle puppies again!! I wanted to keep them all!! And I don't even like animals all that much :)

Soooo, I seem to have accomplished the quitting smoking. I have not had a cigarette since September...something. My new goal, give up Dr Pepper.

If you know me, you know this is REALLY going to be a challenge. More so than cigarettes I think. I started smoking when I was 15. I started my addiction to Dr Pepper at age 11. All I drink all day, everyday is Dr Pepper.

I'm on day 2 of no Dr Pepper. I had a major head ache yesterday, but today I'm doing ok.

:)

Hopefully I can do this!

A Christmas Story

A Christmas Story. Classic. I love this movie! The pink bunny suit, "fuuuuudge", the sexy leg lamp, "You'll poke your eye out!"

One part I could never watch and always turned my head on, was when the boy got his tongue stuck to the pole. Just thinking about it gives me the chills. Ugh.

So, Friday night Gage stayed the night with James. I went to pick him up last night, and oh.my.gosh. I don't want to be one of "those people", but he smelled like a dirty ash tray. The smell made my stomach turn.
I wondered if that was I would smell like when I smoked! Ew.

Looks nasty, right? Stinks really bad, right?
Doesn't mean I don't still want one everyday!!
Soooo, I'm watching Beverly Hills 90210...the original. It's still wonderful, but man, this is some bad acting!!
But I still think Dylan is still the hottie of the show. :)

Cigarette, please. :D

You know, it has been 55 days since my last cigarette. And if I'm being honest, I've wanted a cigarette just about every one of those 55 days. Whether it be the worrying over Zac and his doctor appointments, or the stresses of having a 14 year old son that is....well, acting like a typical 14 year old boy. Ya know, it could be I saw a woman smoking on tv and it made me want one. Point is!.......that I still want to smoke. I have dreams that I light a cigarette and take two drags and love it...then I'm just disappointed in myself for smoking after doing so well for so long!
Ok, I got off track. I'm good at that.
On with my story.....yesterday made me want to start smoking again. NOTHING makes me want to do something more, than when someone tells me I can't do it.
Ridiculous!!! Them...NOT me!
Here are some of the rules:
  • No smoking in parking lots and/or driveways that are used by (my place of business)
  • in any (mpob) vehicles
  • Vehicles on property that is owned, leased or used by (mpob)
  • All property, sidewalks and streets that are adjacent to (mpob) owned or leased property
  • they want us to hand out informational cards to give employees/patients who are observed smoking on work property.
  • Have to inform patients that leaving the campus while admitted will not be allowed. ....leaving campus while admitted is classified as leaving “against medical advice.”

  • If you carpool to/from work, attend training classes or other work-related functions may not smoke in the vehicle with other employees present

  • Not allowed to leave the workplace while “on the clock" hourly employees who leave work property(to smoke) must clock-out upon leaving and clock-in upon returning.

  • Must refrain from using tobacco products on the property of nearby businesses and residences, including public streets and sidewalks

Ok, is it just me or does that seem a little extreme? Not to mention if you come in smelling like smoke, you could be fired.

Ridiculous. I don't even smoke anymore....but I sure want to now. :p

Friday, Payday, Friday, Payday

It's Friday! And payday!!
So, you'd think I would be in a better mood. But man, I'm in a foul mood today!
I woke up with a freaking fever blister. I HATE fever blisters. Disgusting.
I had yesterday off. I usually love days off, but we had Zac's doctor appointment yesterday. We got there at 8:15 and left a little before 10. My sister (support system) went with me. We just talked with the doctor about Zac. She was really sweet. I have to take Zac back December 1st for testing. It's FOUR HOURS of testing. They're testing him for Aspergers Disorder. Which is a type of autism, from what I gathered.
So, of course, being the emotional mess that I am, there was a lot of crying involved, while talking to the doctor.
Gage's school has their big rival football game, so he was at school from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. last night! School from 7:50-2:50; baseball practice from 2:50-5:00; then the "Happening" from 5:00-9:00!! Apparently they had a parade, bon fire, fireworks and all that good stuff.
I was never that involved in school to care about stuff like that, so I'm glad Gage seems to be. :)
So, it sucks coming in to work after having the day off. I have certain things that I get done before I leave everyday...that have to be done to make my morning go a little more smooth. And of course, none of it is done.
(Not bad-mouthing you, Ash!) There's no way for the girls who do billing to know everything I do up front, so I'm not complaining about them. You just get used to your routine and it's all jacked when you have the day off...ya know? ;) I still love you, Ashley and Brenda! Plus the other receptionist was off yesterday, too. So, that doubley :) sucked for Ash and Bren.
Anywaysssss, I just need to think "Friday, payday, Friday, payday".
No kids tonight, either!
What to do? What to do?
We shall see.

Have I mentioned that it's been 48 days since my last cigarette?
And I still want one EVERYDAY!
just sayin'.
